The holidays are a wonderful time of year. (The most wonderful time of the year if you believe some of the Christmas carols.) It is also, for many, the most hectic. It is a time of planning, preparing and running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
It seems that each year there are more people to visit, more commitments to maintain, more gifts to buy or make and just more of everything in general. Yet, each year, I find that I don't have that much of a problem maintaining. And I am writing this hoping that I can help you this year too.
First - and foremost - is planning! I plan for everything, because I love it. During the holiday season though it seems to come in handy the most. I find that these simple, but very effective tips come in very handy.
Start early! This goes for shopping, meal planning, gift giving, and, in some instances, even decorating.
I hope that these tips help you as much as they have for me - and I am sure I will post more on a couple of them in detail later. But for now - enjoy the fall, before the holidays smack you in the face!
Here is where I will rant about my daily mommy life, give some insight into a brain tumor survivor's musings, and hopefully offer up some fun as well.
